Guitar / Bass requires standard 1/4 output jack. Using any real guitar or bass with a 1/4-inch jack socket players can connect to the game through an audio jack-to-USB cable (both supplied and available separately) to play and learn songs through Rocksmith's various lessons and licensed songs. The game also features a content import feature to transfer the songs from the first Rocksmith game. Well, I mean, a lot of the problems with particular Rocksmith setups are on the part of the user, not the game. Additionally, DLC purchased from the first Rocksmith game will be transferable for free.

I actually played the original game on PS3 with WIRELESS speakers and I set my unit up well enough not to have problematic lag. I am playing 2014 on the Mac (imac) and have noticed no lag at all.
